As an aside, I'm having trouble getting my ML's to mine friendly harbours. I can send a fully loaded Mine Warfare TF to a DH port that's threatened by the enemy, and it just sits there, mocking me...

Any tips?

Are they under friendly air cover? Perhaps they dont like going into enemy controlled airspace?

ML will not mine their own home port. Here is how to mine a friendly port:

1) check your MLs individually to make sure they have mines. Red "0s" do nothing.
2) set "retirement allowed"
3) select a home port other than the port you want to lay mines in
4) select as your DH the hex you wish to mine

Yes, it's nit-picky. Do you have to do it just so? Noo, of course not. Only if you want it to work.[;)]

edit: oops, had the wrong switch set. Use "retirement allowed."

If only mine-sweepers would work so well.

Thanks guys. I'll check it out. I think my problem was probably the "allow retirement/do not retire" switch. Too used to having "do not retire" on for ASW work.
