No sound in game or in main menu.

Im sure that this has been discussed before but...

After the intro videos there is no sound from the game.
Thats in all menus in a scenario or what ever is there anybody out there who knows how to fix this?

Ok, start with giving us system specs, operating system, sound card type. One thing that is generally recommended is starting the game from the mech.exe. This skips the intro video, and takes you straight to the main menu.

windows xp nd i have no idea about anything else but i do know i have had the game on the comp before but i had to take it off so i cud run another game
i cant think why anything has changed i tried starting through mech but the same problem is present. i checked the sound files and there is only a folder and 4 sound files. could this be the problem?

Yes. Somehow your SND folder lost all the files needed. You'll have to uninstall SPWaW and do a fresh reinstall. Did you keep the program installer? If not, then you'll have to d/l it again and start from scratch.

Recommendation: if you have a CD burner, put the 8.2 install package and the 8.3 update on a CD as a backup.

Don't feel bad, Capt. White, I've had to reinstall the whole game more than once.

thanks for all your help but 1 last question if i just wrote all the sound files onto a cd from my other comp then copied the files into the snd folder would that work?
