Sticky research info window

Am I missing something here? When I navigate to the research screen (but not through the 'Start of Turn' pop-up), clicking on any single tech only briefly calls up the information at the bottom left, but it then slides away again before I can read anything. This lasted through an entire 40-turn game I just played. Strangely, getting there from the pop-up at the start of turn doesn't result in the same problem.

I have seen this happen, but it is inconsistent. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Go figure...

So this is a known bug? Any chance it will be addressed?
