A stable config for me;...

Post by willgamer »

yes, I know ymmv, but fwiw:

Ver 1.40c.

Remove the numbered prefix on the campaign files, e.g. "Reach For The Stars.cam".

Reply 'no' to starting the tutorial for a new user.

Start the tutorial from the campaign start screen by checking the box.

Change the compatibility mode option on the startup shortcut to Win98.

This will probably only help a few others, but it did eliminate my ctd's...

I tried your set-up and it seems to be working for me now too. Now if I could just learn how to fight the darn campaign.

The cursor still locks up and is jumpy in the battle screens and the battle screens pause sometimes still but no CTD's yet. Windows 98 mode seems to have done it.
