To all

Varjager and i have started a game of Ricky's updated Stalin attacks campaign.

As the evil Soviet attacker i take the future of the Rodina in my greedy hands. The first week of the war see's several holes in the axis line.

Loki, the evil exploiter of the proletariat.

PS. There is just one problem, soviet pilots seem to be flying modified milk crates with engines at front end. <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Varjager just build up your forces, and show the true might of the werhmacht to the bolschevik oppresors. If you survivie the first turns you will be alright. In one year (if you don't overextend yourself and defend for the first year) you will dominate in everything.

PRAVDA EXTRA!!

"Massive Soviet victory North of Lvov"

Comrade Stalin was seen today at Stavka HQ leaping in the air and clicking his heels when reports came in of 3 german Korps surrendered/shattered north of Lvov, leaving a 90KM hole in the axis line. While another was shattered and one more surrounded SE of Tilsit.
Zhukov however was seen leaning over the map table with a grimm expression.
'Why the sour face' said Stalin 'this is a great victory'

'We have seen no PZ units yet, they must be just behind the lines. I have great repect for the power of german Pz Kps' Replies Zhukov.

'Dont worry, the fascist dogs are on the run'
says Stalin

'Maybe' mutters Zhukov

This is a broadcast from Radio Berlin:To day the Führer spoke for the first time since the russians started to invade our beloved fatherland.

-I have tried so hard to stop this war and it was just 1 month ago that Molotov and I signed the non-agression pact.The pact was supposed to last until 1950.I have given orders to the WH to try and stop the Russians advances.We have no doubt that we will come out on top.We have read here already the Russian provlaiming victory already.
But to you the German People this is an insult.We will fight them until there is not a singel soul of the bolscheviks left on holy German ground.This is truley the one and only Crusade!
I urge youngsters to sign up now for the Waffen SS.I urge the German people to work harder in the factorys.Give you fighting brothers the tools to destroy this danger once and for all.
I have also appointed the handsome General Varjager to Fieldmarshall. He will now command the war in the East!

15 May 1942

Stavka HQ

Weary but victorious soviet tank armies reach the baltic south of Tilsit and isolate 5 german infantry Korps in the Tilsit pocket. Furious attacks however fail to force any of them to retreat.
Another German Inf Kps is surrendered NW of Lvov and Soviet armor moves forward.
Also the axis is in trouble in Romania. Their line is being bent back and may collapse.

Soviet guided milk crates are being swatted from the air by the luftwaffe, over 800 lost this turn during combat support.
And most ominous is the reports of german Pz Kps moving up to the line in may places.

News from Radio Berlin:The Tilsit pocket was just a propagande attempt by the foul Bolscheviks.We the O.K.W denies that the russians have cut any troops of.We did just send some Pz-corps there and established a connection with Tilsit again.We do how ever have proof that 2 Tank-corps of the russians have been shattered.Where ever proud Pz-forces did engage in Battle they soundly defeted the russian.We are still chocked by the fould way that we where attacked but slowley we are gaining controll of the battle fields.Thank to Goering the skies above is filled with Pilots who dare to challenge the Red Airforce.We will soon have total control of the skies.Knights Cross and oakleaves to FM Varjager for co-ordinating the attacks on the North front.

22 May 1942

STAVKA HQ

Stalin kicks the HQ door in a shouts,,,
"What do you mean the Tilsit pocket hes been relieved"!!!!

Zhukov looks up from the map table and replies..

"2 tank armies were shattered by relieving Pz Kps
and 3 of the german Korps were put back in supply.
Now it is raining and nothing is moving on the ground."
(stalin has gone a dark purple colour)
"But", continues Zhukov( a slight sheen of sweet on his forehead) "when the skies clear we can continue the the attack. It is only a minor setback"

In the Broadcast today our Führer told the world the last weeks events.

-We,the German people.Have lashed back against the hordes of the east! We are standing firm at the front.Fear not my people! Cause our forces are strong and we will prevail.We did not want this war but we are sure as h**l going to finish it! Heil FM Varjager that have once again lead from the front this week.In a master mind blow he has crippled the bolscheviks attempt of destroying our oil resources in the balkans.

German 10July42 Turn.

Varjager's Axis line is getting harder each turn to push back anywhere. The Soviets will continue to attack to try to keep the axis off ballance(and to up training)but it seems the most that can be hoped for is to prevent any sort of major German attack this year.
The bulk of the VVS has withdrawn to train.

Casualties so far.

Axis S=13313 T=1545 G=6018 A=1621
Sovs S=18750 T=6981 G=6207 A=9796

I have uploaded a screenshot from the lattest turn to the Yahoo site. (SA_10jul42.gif) if anyone wishes to see the meagre Soviet advance into Axis
territory.

Change of fortune. 17july42

Zhukov, fearing a purge, Takes over Voronezh Front and punches a hole in the german line west of Lvov.
1st Gd Tnk Army advances 80 miles to take Krakow and shatters the HQ there and over 200 axis planes.
"that should shut stalin up" he mutters to himself. (very quietly)

Krakow taken? Very well done! Was this a kamikaze attack, or you can hold Krakow? The beginning of this scenario is very interesting! Keep on slaughtering!

I agree, impressive strike behind the lines. Now hopefully you can follow up on it before the German forces grow in strength too much.

I think it was briliant but desperate move. Look at the screenshot on the Loki site. There is panzer korps east of Krakov. One turn out of supplies and multiple interdiction is guaranteed for this brave tank army. I bet 1:5 that it will be destroyed before follow up forces reach Krakow.

Yes it probably is a Kamakazi attack. I hacked up the 10july map and posted it on the site as the SA_17jul42.gif..

As you can see the move is backed by every thing that was in reach but i think Varjager will take back Krakow(or at least isolate it) and if done right maybe even surrender the tank army there. Hopefully the event will unhinge the line somewhat and lead to further opportunities.
Doing anyhting decisive or disruptive is better than headbutting the axis line headon.

(Should get his reply tomorrow morning as i stuffed up the 1st zip i sent)

Today the Führer himself went to visit the liberated town of Krakow.It was occupied for some day by the hordes of the east.When the Führer was told that Krakow hade fallen he ordered an counter attack with out regards for the losses.But the result was dazzling! We have confirmed 759 Afvs and the pow lines are 7-8 miles long! The succes was almost complite.But 2 Russian Mech armies are now out of supplied but we expect the russian to link up with them before we get a chanse to crush them.To our suprise the Red Airforces showed up in numbers.This time it was well trained pilots not the earlier rookies that we have faced of against! But fear not! We will prevail!!!!!

Report.. End of soviet 24july42 turn

Zukhov is happy, even though the axis recaptured Krakow the failure to seal the breach of the front enables the soviets to expand on the operational situation. Stalin will rejoice in what has been achieved rather than punnish for what was lost. After all there are a million more where they came from.

The god of war has looked down upon the people of germany! The Pz-corps struck hard this week.6 russian corp where running to get out of the way.Luftwaffe took to the skies and blasted the new russian fighter units.The german offensiv will cause Zhukov to move his forces in defensiv positions insted of trying to gain small pieces of succes.The German troops are now ready to deliver a blow that will sett the russians back into russian territory!

Long live Germany!
