It finaly happened. Me and Josan have started the war. We use experimental Barbarossa scenario 26 turns long. I've decided to post battle reports for ones who is interested.
The beginning was somewhat different. Two mech. corpses are encircled on north west front. Huge amount of Soviet troops are crushed around Byalystok, though they are not completely destroyed. Great battle was fought northeast of Lvov and 1st German panzer group had breaked out into the rear between 5th and 6th Soviet armies. As a result three mech. corpses were put into operative encirclement.
Bad news for independend 9th Army in Moldavia. Reconessaince had showed apearing of 3 strong panzer korpses out of nowhere. Stavka ordered to retreat and avoid encirclement.
Stalin had ordered to stop and destroy enemy which crossed USSR boarder. Great battle was fought around Lvov with the aim of destroying one and encircling two German panzer korpses. This operation failed. Several commanders of different levels were ordered to be shoot for this.
8th mech. corps crossed boarder with a purpose of cutting communication of AGS. But it appeared to suddenly run out of fuel and stopped ahead of weak and panicking enemy line. Several mid and high level commanders were ordered to be shoot for this failure when Stavka representative Mekhlis arrived.
Read air force had suffered heavy losses, though it succeded to save remnants of its power. Stavka ordered massive strategic bombing of evil Reich to be carried out. Due to the surprise, many bomber groups managed to reach the very heart of Reich. Berlin, Wuppertal and Cologne were hit. For the successfull bombing operation several pilots recieved Gold Medal "Hero of the USSR".
"Neutral" Hungarian Capitol Budapest was also bombed. As the result "neutral" Hungary officialy stepped into the war with USSR.
Until the last drop of blood. Battle reports.
German turn 2
The soviet resistance is more stronger than expected.
German losses are raising trying to surrender the soviet corps placed in the military districts.
Riga,Daugavpils and Minsk has fallen.
Still there are a fews soviet corps in the North, in out of supply status. We expected to clear our rear line in one week. The Byalistok cauldron has been completaly destroyed.
Heavy fighting in the South where the city of Lvov still resist the german attacks, but now the encirclement around the city is closed trapping 2 mech corps and 2 infantry corps.
AGS dont advance too much just we prefer destroy the well-trained russian forces of the south.
The attacks from Romania has been repulsed by russian defense. OKH is informed that one pz korps managed to cross the soviet lines in this sector but is a information not confirmed yet.
Losses at the end of german turn 2 :
Axis / USSR
Sq: 2060 / 9959
Afv: 676 / 3402
Guns: 257/ 4230
Planes: 498 / 4702

SSG Korsun Pocket Decisive Battles Beta Tester
GG´s War in the East Alpha Tester
29 June '41.
On the North and Center Red Army pulls back since there is no front at all. Soldiers and officers which were encircled in the first week are fighting their way to the east harrassing enemy's communications. There are non confirmed data that heroical 3rd Mech. Corps which was fighting firm from the begining in Kaunas had breaked from encirclement and reached friendly territory west of Daugavpils. Commander of NorthWest front Timoshenko ordered 47th Rifle Corps to cover the retreat and hold ground in Vilna until the last man to slow down enemy. The fate of this corps is unknown, but we believe that it will fight bravely for our just cause. At the same time 11th Mech.Corps which is retreating from Byalystok and is out of supplies for 2 weeks is ordered to try to retake Daugavpils and cut off panzer korpses east of town. To help to weakened mech. corps Timoshenko ordered to 1st Mech. Corps to deliever oncoming blow from Pskov direction. Some nessasairy supplies(mostly fuel) were airlifted as well. Two mech. corpses are meant to close the ring around panzer korpses east of Daugavpils. We are waiting the data about the results of this risky operation.
In the central direction the situation is the most dramatic because there are no forces to stop Germans. After long debates, High Commandment decided to use the tactic of sharp counter strikes with a little force just to slow down enemy as much as possible while new positions are being created in the great hurry and disorder.
There are non confirmed data that several panzer korpes are isolated around Minsk. General staff still has no radio exchange with forward troops. It suddenly appeared that they have no radio right before the advancing through the woods of Byelorussia.
Critical situation on SouthWest direction. 4th Mech. Corps is still holding Lvov but most tanks are broken or damaged . They have neither fuel no spare parts. 15th Mech. Corps is ordered to break through the encirclement and enable supplies to be carried through thin corridor. This is the only hope to stop and destroy the enemy whos planes are dominating the skies.
There is large hole between 5th and 6th armies NorthWest from Ternopol. Zhukov ordered to reestablish supplies and create continous front east of Tarnopol, but there are too little forces to do that because all divisions are tied up in combat. Though High Command still hopes to achieve success and stop the enemy.
9th independent army was reformed to Southern Front. Panzer corps was isolated north east of Kishinev by oncoming mech.corps's counter strike.
Airfields of German 11th Army were bombed by large groups of IL-4. Inspite of heavy losses, bombers succeded to deliever two blows. Dozens of Romanian and Italian planes were destroyed.
Strategic bombings of the Reich continued. Budapest and Viena were hit inspite of resistance of little Hungarian air group which was outnumbered. Stalin was pleased with the results which raised morale of many soldiers, though he said that stronger effect is very much desired. Germany and its Allies must be bombed to dust to finish the war until the end of summer.

German turn 3
The advance continues along the front despite the tenacious defense of Mist forces. Many pockets has been mopped up but still there are some units in the german rear. Seems Stalin in not in charge of command of Stavka.
4th Pz Army are driving to Pskov with no opposition.
AGC are now around 60 miles west of Vitebsk. Strong soviet forces has been spotted inside the Pripet Marsh.
AGS captures Lvov. The panzers are driving to Zhitomir. The battles around the romanian frontier are inconclusive. Soviets wants to defend Odessa.
Losses:
Axis/USSR :
sq: 2646 / 14886
afv: 817 / 4585
guns: 301 / 5895

Mech. corpses on which Soviet commandment rellied so much in the destruction of invaders are almost no more.
North. Remnants of 3rd M.C. had run out of supplies and are fighting their last battle on the North bank of Western Dvina delievering heavy losses to attacking German infantry. Meanwhile defences of Pskov are being prepared in the hurry.
In the CENTER situation is very tense after destruction of counter attacking mech.corpses which failed to perform coordinated encirclement of enemy's panzer korpses in Minsk region.
Soviet commandment still has a hope for another counter strikes being performed in the nearest time.
Survivors of frontier battle Soviet divisions retreated in Pripyat region from both north and southern side. German panzer korps which dared to perform a raid through this swampy area was stopped by remnants of 22nd mech. corps in the oncoming battle! This korps is isolated(unconfirmed) after well organized operation. One rifle division advanced from Pripyat region and crossed pre-war border 90 km south of Brest-Litovsk breaking enemy's railroad.
Southwest. Remnants of 15th Mech.Corps were encircled again by one of the numerous German panzer korpses. In the oncomming battle enemy's attack was bloodily repulsed. Stavka ordered this mech. corps to abandon all tanks due to the absence of fuel and try to advance west as much as possible to harrasse enemy's supplies east of Lvov.
South. Situation which was nearly stable for last couple of turns is now close to catastrofic. The presense of 3 German panzer korpses seriously worries commander of Southern front. He continuously beggs Stavka to allow him to retreat or send him large tank reserves and air support. But Stalin refuses everytime and orders to hold possitions firmly and stop even thinking about retreat everytime when enemy appears.
The only good news Stavka can announce is that Italians were very unaware about guarding their airfields in Afrika and Italy. Small probing attack had shown that no interceptors fly even to defend Rome itself. THough intelligence had reporteed the presence of approximately 3 air groups being attached to Italian Front. It became obvious that there will never be another chance. After consulting with Stalin commander of Air Force had ordered large airfield strike to be carried out to help Western Allies in their hard battle.
Nearly 100 planes were destroyed on the ground!
Berlin was bombed again inspite of resistance of one small German airgroup.
Air attack on Budapest was refused because of appearance of strong Bf110 airgroup.

German turn 4 7/13/41
Strong forces are defending the Rodina. All panzers attacks were repulsed. Pskov, Vitebsk, Mogilev and Zhitomir garrisons stopped the german initial assaults. Really there is a lot of russians in Russia
But not all are bad news for the poor Fuhrer. The 8 soviet armies placed by ( I dont know yet who commands Stavka)Russian High Command in the Prypet marshes were destroyed. Units from 2pz drived down meanwhile another panzer kops from 1st pz closed the pocket from the south. 15-20 soviet divisions, including tank divisions, were surrendered.
The attacks on Romania continues. A panzer korps managed to break the line and drived to Odessa but failed to make the ordered encirclement. Now
the korps is the danger. The strong russian forces detected in the area can be a problem.

SSG Korsun Pocket Decisive Battles Beta Tester
GG´s War in the East Alpha Tester
13 July'41. Soviet turn.
North. Great battle was fought for Pskov with Germans attempting to take city by two consecuetive frontal asssaults after long march on very well prepared entrenched Soviet divisions. As a result nearly 100 panzers were lost and many German soldiers were killed and wounded. Soviet losses were also significant, but lesser. One more panzer korps appeared in Baltic. It have rushed into Estonia and woried Soviet commandment very much by threatening Narva pass. Strange news came from former 1st Mech.Corps rifle division. It reports about taking Daugavpils back. Red banner is now over town hall.
Center.
Great air battle was fought over Prypiat marches. Mainly unescorted German bombers tried to airlift supplies to panzer korpses in the swamps. Many of them were destroyed or damaged. Disregarding this sign of danger, too enthusiastic German panzer leaders went into ambush. After marching about 120 km at high speed and facing no resistance they suddenly realized themselves ahead of entrenched defenders on Vitebsk-Mogilev-Gomel line. It was too late to regroup and panzer korpses attacked one by one without concentration of strike power. Nearly 200 panzers were lost in this desperate fighting. Defenders held their positions. Soviet commandment decided to use this situation to further benefits. Two panzer korpses of four were isolated. This will greatly help to prepared further counteratack.
Southwest. Soviet army defending Zhitomir held town against understrengthened panzer korps while other German mobile forces were fighting inside of Prypiat marches where doomed Soviet troops managed to deliever heavy losses to enemy. They say that survivors of this swamp battle were scatered to small groups which will perform partisan actions.
South.
Heavy fighting around Odessa. German panzer korps had punched thin hole fighting against two Soviet tank divisions supported by infantry. After very heavy battle it almost reached railroad but failed to cut it. It happened, that there was Soviet bomber forces preparing for large scale strategic bombings. Stavka ordered to use bombers to pound weakened panzer korps from air, encircle it and make it to surrender. Hundreeds of bombs were thrown at panicking Rumanian and German soldiers. Commanders report about winnig the battle.
Another panzer korps tried to break through the northern part of defensive line with a direction to Zhitomir. It was isolated and now is out of supplies.
Inspite of relatively good week of war, overal situation on the front is very desperate. Though there is a rumor that German supplies start to decrease slowly and they soon will not be able to move their supplies so fast.

German turn 7/20/41
After the failed direct attacks of the past week a change of strategy is required. The panzer korps can not face 400 or 500 squads defending.
Pskov was surrounded after heavy fighting. The infantry from AGN is now a distance to strike.
3rd Panzergruppe and 2nd from Guderian attack from north and south the city of Vitebsk. The strong army garrison is surrendered. The infantry is moving fastly to the east and forward elements has been spotted near Mogilev.
A coup de main against Kiev failed despite the Luftwaffe support. Zhitomir and his garrison is expected to fall next week.
In Romanian sector the attacks to help the isolated korps have failed. The resistance, as the other fronts, is very heavy.

Battle for Pskov continues.
Soviet armies isolated two panzer korpses which have made break through.
Panzer korpes east of Vitebsk and near Kiev had outrun good air cover and were
heavily bombed. Very insignificant number of Bf-109 have tried to intercept Soviet bombers. Total 200 Soviet bombers were hit and 72 panzers were destroyed.
In the center, Germans try as hard as possible to hack their way to Moscow. Soviet armies partialy retreated abandoning Vitebsk-Mogilev defensive line. Few rifle divisions which were left to cover the retreat have been sacrificed to Germans which eagerly destroyed Vitebsk garrison. Though one covering Soviet army succeded to retreat delievering heavy losses to attackers. Now, all Soviet commandment hopes to hold Mogilev-Gomel line as long as possible to bleed enemy dry and then counterattack.
As it was expected, partisans started to harrasse german supplies. railroad southeast of Minsk was damaged.
Meanwhile, in the southwest. Zhitomir garrison retreated to defend endangered Kiev, while one of its divisions had successfuly advanced west of town to slow down enemy supplies.
Amazing news from south!
Panzer korps apparently consisting of weak minor allies was forced to surrender northwest of Odessa! It was sacrificed by German commandment which did not try to airlift supplies to it! Seems that German morale is very low on the South
Considering very low activity of enemy this week, Stavka suggests that OKH plans major offensive after German infantry will move to general front line.

German turn 6 7/27/41
AGN FRONT
Despite the out of supply status of two panzer korpses the germans managed to do offensive operations.
A furious attack was launched against the Pskov sector trapping 3 soviet armies in the pocket. The 3 armies were forced to surrender and the city was conquered. More than 153000 russian soldiers, 800 guns and 300 tanks were lost for the soviet side.
Now the road to Leningrad is open !!!!
AGC FRONT
The infantry arrives to the russian line of defense in Velikie Luki and Mogilev. In the Mogilev sector the russians are entrenching and defending behind the river. A direct attack against Smolensk has failed but panzer korpes are in good positions of attack and with the supply lines secured.
Another attack has been made against Gomel. A panzer korps have conquered the city and an entire open flank in now dangerously open for the soviets. Two panzer korps more are in support and positioning to explote possible future breaktroughts in this sector.
AGS FRONT
Zhitomir and its garrison were finnaly doomed. The infantry arrives to hit Kiev in the next week.
A panzer korps managed to break the line and arrive to the rail line of Odessa. We expect that with this stratagem some soviet armies defending in Odessa Area will be in out of supply. Two panzer korps are near to support any action.
In Romania the germans are attacking with not too much ground gains but one strong soviet army with 45000 men was forced to surrender.
Overall losses:
