Japs close ring around Singapore

Post by Tristanjohn »

27 December 1941

Nerves are taught in Singapore as the Japanese draw ever closer to the British base. Enemy bombers once again threatened from the sky overhead, and the roar of their engines barely drowned the wails of terrified people below.

Malacca falls

Post by Tristanjohn »

The town of Malacca fell yesterday, and the stream of human flotsam struggling along the one narrow road leading to Singapore is not a pleasant sight. British officials on the island are bracing themselves against this tidal wave of fear and misery and pain.

Yeah, that guy does good work, doesn't he? Who is Platoonist, anyway?

As it turns out your propaganda girl's already broadcast her first annual Christmas message to our troops, though if I'd known she was so seiteki I would have listened closer! (I figured she must be some old baba.)

In fact now that you bring it up, are you sure that girl's legit? She sorta reminds me of someone. Just let me think a minute . . . hmmmm . . . the last time I got through Tokyo. . . .
