Nerves are taught in Singapore as the Japanese draw ever closer to the British base. Enemy bombers once again threatened from the sky overhead, and the roar of their engines barely drowned the wails of terrified people below.[/font]

[font="Times New Roman"]The town of Malacca fell yesterday, and the stream of human flotsam struggling along the one narrow road leading to Singapore is not a pleasant sight. British officials on the island are bracing themselves against this tidal wave of fear and misery and pain.[/font]

[font="Times New Roman"]The Allied garrison of Georgetown is said to be on its last legs. According to British military sources in Singapore everything there is short--food, ammunition, and most of all hope.[/font]

As it turns out your propaganda girl's already broadcast her first annual Christmas message to our troops, though if I'd known she was so seiteki I would have listened closer! (I figured she must be some old baba.)

In fact now that you bring it up, are you sure that girl's legit? She sorta reminds me of someone. Just let me think a minute . . . hmmmm . . . the last time I got through Tokyo. . . .
