Put my faith in the people
And the people let me down.
So, I turned the other way,
And I carry on anyhow.

Eric, are you doing a hendrix gig?
Nice strat and I spy a small Laney combo amp.
Do you run both at the same time?Use an A/B box to switch amps or is it just a back up?
Here is a quick rundown of my live rig.
Fender Standard American Strat
" " Tele.....both red with white pick guard.
Laney GH100L 100 watt head
Crate 4x12 cab with celestions
Boss Harmonist,Delay and distortion pedal (DS-1 just as a boost,I prefer the tube sound for my gain)
ART SGX 2000 processor,pre-amp
Dunlop cry-baby wah.
I mostly use the processor for 'wild' sounds. You can tell the ones in the crowd who are "out there" and I like freak em out with long delay times and flange....you know make "see the sounds"
I also use a crate GXT100 combo amp for clean tones and a A/B box.....and thats about it.

RE: Photos of the gang
That is indeed a Hendrix gig. Both amps were running together off of a Boss GT-3 multi-fx, using the Laney amp set cleaner to give extra clarity. Oh and the Strat's a Clapton Signature model - best guitar I've ever played!
Since then I've changed my amp/fx setup.
Soldano SP-77 pre-amp
Peavey Classic 120 power amp
2 ProAmplifier 1x12 speaker cabs
Boss GT-8 Multi-fx
Boss PW-10 Power Wah
Together with the active circuitry on the Clapton Strat I can get almost any tone I want out of this rig. Given that I acquired most of it seperately I guess I struck lucky ..... for once[:D]

Hmmmm...Fender must give british dudes more options on the Clapton model than do us Yanks but I really havent done my homework on the clapton strat. From what I can tell (going by what I have seen and not investigated) we mostly see the model that was modeled after Claptons "blackie" strat. But it comes loaded with fender lace sensor pick-ups I believe are active.
Ive played most of the big signature strats, blackie, hendrix (voo doo) and the malmsteen strat.Of all three "blackie" was the best.It felt like it was already broken in and had a lot deeper tone than the rest. The malmsteen strat with the scalloped neck sounded real thin but it screamed out the pinched harmonics like a demon.
Rock on

Fender re-vamped the EC strat a couple of years back. It now features Fender's 'Vintage Noiseless' pickups, a 30db mid-range boost and a more modern neck profile. I used it on a gig a couple of days after I bought it and two songs into the 1st set it was like I'd been playing it all my life. I have managed to break two trem bars on it though[:D]
