Almost looks like a model airplane, doesn't it? I wonder where they'd planned to put weapons; maybe the pilot was supposed to shoot out the side of the cockpit and drop bombs by hand, ala WWI.

The Bell XP-77 was a lightweight fighter, made mostly of wood, designed to be highly maneuverable.
Armament was 2x 12.7mm 1x 20.0 mm
Because of problems with the turbocharger it never went into production.
(the shown aircraft was destroyed in a crash on 22 October 1944)
