WiR in Blitz ladder

Post by czerpak »

Hi guys,
for those who want to score their games, it will be soon when WiR appears in Blitzkrieg Wargaming Club at The Blitz
I stay in touch with Matthew, Classic Ladder custodian and first steps are done. If you go to section "Supported games" you find : War in Russia - coming. Now its the matter of days ( few weeks max). I should get the final proposal from Matthew this week. It will include also user made scenarios / campaigns like Possums, Mists and Patriotic War. Lorenzo House Rules will be posted as standard, but in Blitz its up to players if they use standard or different rules.
I'll keep you all posted

great job.

I've had my General 'Lokiofthe Aesir' Logged on for a while and will be happy to log my victories
on this site. Will be especially happy to score a win against Josan the evil german. (nazi swine).
But our game is still going and he may kick my bum all the way to Gorki

Nick,
dont worry, in Blitz you get points even if you loose. They award players for playing not only winning. Not that I dont believe in you
I hope you win with Josan and loose with me

Good job, Maciej. Thanks for your work on that. I belong to the Panzer Campaigns ladder there already and have a blast. Just look for Ricky B ;-). No silly names for me.

Josan, Nick, Ricky
thanks for feedback. Good to know I'm not doing this just for myself ( means I gonna have goods opponents there). I joined Blitz for Steel Panthers games, and always dreamed about WiR being there. I was wondering when somebody would do something about it. Then once in a middle of the night after finishing my turns at WiR and SP I smashed myself at head - golden thought came : I can be this somebody. So I emailed Blitz, got very positive feedback and now we are almost finished.

Yes, I do since SP1. This game brought me back to tactical wargaming after a long break. Now I play SPWW2 - its based on SP2 engine, but massive improvement. It is a free DL from wargamer.com
After joining Blitz I never play AI again, only PBEM, although AI in SPWW2 is miles ahead of the one from WiR. But the difference is that I cant remember loosing a stock scenario against computer and if you have a look at my scores at Blitz SP Ladder its quite another story. But I'm learning fast. So if you want to DL it, join Blitz SP Ladder and I am always ready for a fight. At the moment I have a bit to much games running, but always find a free slot for you.
Maciej

BTW you can also get SPWaW here in Matrix - another improvement but based on SP3. I prefer SPWW2, but there is many players playing both.
Let me know when you are ready.
