No manual

Post by Gary Thomas »

Perhaps I posted this in the wrong thread.

Here is what I said in the "digital download available" thread.

I bought the digital download version of Uncommon Valor a couple of days ago, installed it and have had some fun with it. However, the download did not, it seems, include the game manual. It did include a slender an uninformative Player's Guide, relating to a tutorial (and not, apparently, the one in the scenario list (Edited - yes it was, I just didn't understanfd the instructions)). There were various other single sheet pdf files. The only substantial file was a 7Mb advertisement for Matrix (including an ad saying the Harpoon 3 would be distributed by Matrix...)

How do I get a pdf of the game manual?

Also, I have registered this game, and in the "My games" list there is an entry for downloads for Uncommon Valor, but it is a dummy entry, it just returns to the same game list page when clicked.

Cheers

Gary,

There should be a file titled manual.dpf in the C:\Matrix Games\Uncommon Valor folder. The game should have also installed a shortcut to the manual in UV folder (all programs) it should be in the documents folder.

Now I feel really silly. Yes, there is a file called manual.pdf in the Uncommon Valor directory.

My problem was that I naively looked in the manuals subdirectory, and it wasn't there. It didn't occur to me to look elsewhere.

In the meantime Tom Elliott has very kindly emailed me a copy, so I now have two...

It hasn't really been a good week.

Cheers
