How do you take a screenshot??

Post by kinetic »

How do you take a screen shot? Can one then just straightforwardly attach it to a post?

Thanks for your help.

personally I use the print screen button and then alt-tab to the desktop to paste it into my paint program. I never did see an in-game screenshot command, which would be nice because then you can take more than one pic at a time.

then you obviously have to load it up to a web server someplace, in which I use my works web server.

Do I have to upload it to a server? I cannot do some simplier, like copy and paste?

the image has to be hosted by some server that's connected to the internet. otherwise nobody has access to your PC to view the picture. to "copy/paste" doesn't negate this requirement of a PC to host the picture for people to see (though some gaming forums host pictures for you in this manner to a limited degree, not this one though).

there are a few free websites out there that people use to host pictures, but IMO you get what you pay for.

I guess you're right, I didn't notice they had an "embed picture in post" feature here.

good job getting it working.

This is one of the few forums nice enough to allow embeded photos. (under 400kb i think and only 1 a post)

But some advice, edit and save yer photos as gif and try 800ish x 600ish or lower image size. to fit meh puny screen [;)]
