Virtual CD4

I know it is not Matrix's problem, but I can not get the game to play from Virtual CD4. I was able to create the image and get the start menu to come up, but nothing happens. Must be some new protection scheme. The game will play if I start with the CD in and then remove it after it is running. I just like to be able to jump from one game to another with out hunting for the CD to mount. I also do not want to listen to the CD spin, those 52x jobs are loud.

hehe have you had any progress as far as this to the good? <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> i wouldnt mind being able to put the cd away and not worry about scratching it <img src="wink.gif" border="0">

Although it may not be possible for business reasons I would also like to have the option to play without the CD. When I travel, which is often, I play Alpha Centauri on my laptop since it is the only game I have that will work without the CD. I would love to be able to play STUN: DG instead!

I think I was really talking as a fellow gamer when I posted before. Matrix has explained its position to me on the copy protection and I have to respect it. Hope I didn't mislead anyone. At least they didn't use the doggle.
