Supplly Question/Issue - Help

Post by Kurt G. »

I am still learning how to play the game but am having some difficulty with movement.

My most recent game is when I am playing Japan and generate around 36 linked resource
pools and 16 linked resource centers. Even with building virtually no units, I can generate no supply units (little fuel barrels) and maybe 7 total supply level. But some how if I have a submarine, it can get supplied. I have units just sitting there with no way to move. On land or sea. The strategic move does work but you still can not attack. Am I missing something? I am using the standard supply setting.

Also, I when I am playing, if the computer or myself builds a Truck, it does not appear on the board. Are these units not needed in the basic game?

With 'standard suppy' the little trucks don't show up on the board :) They're assumed to be wherever they're needed. So as long as you have some supply "in the bank" you should be able to move.
You still build the little trucks though, they'll add to your supply total for next turn, 5 per Truck. When you click on a unit, on the far right of the screen a pop-up appears and on the top is your total supply. Page 47 in the Manual, 7.1 & following :)
Submarines & Transports don't use supplies to move. Everything else does, sometimes more than 1.
Japan is especially hard to play because they're always short of resources (hense short of supplies too).
If there's still problems, keep on posting :) there's lots of GGWaW "experts" to offer solutions.
