I take it you're more of a Hearts of Iron fan? lol!
I like a certain amount of 'realism' but balk at 'reality' eh? After all, it's a game to play for fun :) not to drive every tank in the army.

No, I think scout1's more of a WitP guy. [;)]

I've boughten WitP also. its extreme in the amount of detail and just getting started for me has taken weeks (literal 2 weeks) to sort through the menus and commands.

W@W can be played almost immediately and only lasts a few days to weeks in playtime. on the other hand, WitP seems to last weeks to months.

to each their own.

I'm in the same boat. Loved UV and WitP, but this one just doesn't do much for me. I've got the retail box version. PM if interested.

Oleg I believe you play WitP also? I can understand going from a high level of detail game to a lower level of detail can be disconcerting to some.

I think anyone who finds a burning need to be able to assign the individual commanders to each of their 5,000 units, will find W@W too 'general' or 'abstract'.

Then there are the other people who find devoting more than a month of daily playing to a single game a bit too detailed for them.

I find myself in between the two extremes. I enjoy the detail of WitP, but hate the slow turn progression. Then again I also enjoy W@W, because I can finish a game with a dedicated PBEM opponent in less than a week!

I think W@W is clearly aimed at the "average" gamer and if you enjoy WitP, you are not "average". :)

I noticed that overall 2by3 titles appear to have a larger fan base then other Matrix games. I'm trying to get myself into that community. :) I might consider buying WitP one day, but for now I'm very happy with the things we got going with World at War.

Not the 1st time I've been called closed minded [;)]. Bodhi was right, I'm more of a WitP guy. And when I want something lighter, I go to BiN and BII. Excellent gaming systems with a kick ass AI (though I still perfer pbem). GGWAW is just a bit abstract with too little resolutiobn for me. Like ending a game in a reasonable period (though this will never happen in WitP, DB series is a great diversion and the games are reasonable short (though not a week)).

Just wanted to get this game (GGWAW) to someone who would appreciate it and give it some mileage. Just going to collect dust on my shelf. Hate to see any game be a dust collector.
