Bug?... run slowly

how the topic said: the game is very very slow...

This is my pc:
533 Mhz Celeron (Mendocino A)
mother: SiS LMRT-748(with video and sound onboard)
Sound onboard (SiS 620)
Video used: TNT RIVA 32 M64
HD 40 GB
SO: Windows 2000 SP2
Windows XP
DirectX 8.1 (the last)

Note: the game run slowly en both SO so I believe, what the problem is not the SO, I try compatibility choice of WinXP and run slowly too, so maybe the the problem is the sound or the 3d Accelerator ?(I have installed the last drivers of boths hardwares)?, another thing the game run slowly and the music sound paused how if I have the system overload and I dont have nothing running on background nor the antivirus...

seeing that you use WinXP, how much RAM do you have?

Are you running any kind of window enhancement software like WindowBlinds? How about special window themes that change the cursor?

For the music to give you problems like this, it sounds like either your soundcard or your graphics card is stalling things. Try going to the Game Options menu and turning off all sound (Sound Volumes - Overall slider). Press the Make defaults to save it. You can always adjust it later.

If you email me at support@apezone.com, I'll give you instructions on how you can get timings so I can try to see where things are slowing down. I'm assuming you are running version 1.1

I have 128 MB ram, I dont use any type of software enhancement, nor themes of window, yes the version of the game is the 1.1, and I try disable all music without any progress, I will try this afternoon install the new patch, after that I will post if the error was fixed, I hope <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> , and i will contact with you Andrew.

Hmm,

128mb of RAM is abit to less when you´re running XP me thinks. Allthough XP uses RAM better, the OS itself is still a RAM guzzler. Just a guess.
