Mindanao Area---- getting a least 8-10 naval airstrikes per day on fleeing Asiatic Fleet ships-Admiral Hart can not be to happy.

Philippines----- Americans are abanding Naga I will be pushing in another Inf division to make three to siege Manila if Americans want fight there. Northern area will finally be landing an Avaition reg. Will be moving as many Art reg as I can get my hands on to move towards Clark Field. Since all the aircraft has fled the Philippines I will move up the time table on securing all the small island bases so the US can not base subs from there and will have to the base of operations for US subs to Darwin.

Central Pacific--- US carriers have finally made their appearance off of Tawara/Makin and sink two of the 4th fleet MLs at Makin with some of 52th aboard. Baker Island invasion TF recalled till US carriers leave or are replused from the area.
It is time to start operation "SEEK the HIDER" KB is near Midway at this time.

South Pacific--- TF is now have to Admiarilty Isalnds from Truk. Most of the other support forces are at Truk, which means Rabaul operation to start.

Sasebo HQ China/Burma Command

The war rolls on with a series of tit-for-tat wounding and sinkings in the naval war.

In my theatre of ops.

Hong Kong falls.........(a serious blow to British morale)
Vicoria Point falls.......(just as a convoy was hoping to evac the base force)
The para's in Burma have made contact with Tom's forces were the road meets the railway just south of Rangoon, the Imperial Guard Div. not far behind.
Recon shows that Tom still has a sizeable force at Rangoon, but I still can't believe he will fight there(I hope he does)

I can see China becoming a bloody mess, but with H.K. falling Gen. Dohihara is preparing an attack on the Chinese in and around Canton.
Yenen a battle of attrition.
Tom I think is stripping the hinterlands of China to feed the front, and support Burma, I wonder what I should do with the paras next? Maybe I'll just have a look at the Chinese heartland....[:D]

CENTRAL PACIFIC---No DDs in the bombardment what a shame. I don't think 5" guns will do a lot damage to the CAs. The American carriers are north of Tarawa. Nells and zeros didn't fly and now some of the commanders have been sacked. The Zeros at Tarawa damage 10SBDs killed 3TBDs and 2 others. This could be an early battle of the war. The KB pounded Midway's airfield. Operation "SEEK the HIDER" has been put into action.

SOUTH PACIFIC---- Not much action yet. Should be landing at Admirality Island in the next day.

Mindanao Area---- Sinking a few more ships leaving the area.

Philippines--- Naga fell now the assault on Manila to begin

IMPORTANT DISPATCH.................

The allied powers have requested a three day truce to enjoy the weather, and time with the family. Once again this shows the decadence of the Imperialist Powers, and highlights our inevitable victory, for while they are out BBQing, enjoying the sun, maybe a few beers,. We will be in our HQs with our staff plotting their downfall. (how sad is that?)

Americans decide to raid Tarawa. Crusier force bombard and run to a lot of CD guns at Tarawa, but are able to to avoid all the mines. Sighted the Enterprise, but with the two different types of fighters the "Lady Lex" must be along. We will see if the Americans hang in for another day. Sacked some air commanders, because they didn't fly from Maleop. Stationed at Maleop is 36 nells and 20 zeros. Tarawa also has 9 zeros( they damaged 12 and killed 3 attacking aircraft). Baker Island TF is held back untill American carriers leave.

The Allies are back from there Bar-b-ques and spending time with their families while we Japanese had been studying and planning future operations. Hong Kong is now part of Greater Imperial Japan as is Tarkan. Americans have decided that Tarawa is place to battle it out, we say bring it on.

Sasebo HQ China/Burma Command

A quiet day, at least as far as this game is going.........
Chitose hit by a bomb, and will require a bit of time in the yard ( not too bad)..........
Tavoy has fallen.........
Tom still has troops at Rangoon, he can't be thinking of leaving them there, I'll post a map later to show you the Burma situation.
Combat report, also to follow.

Update

Plans are to take the 5th Div and march to Alor Star. Additional landings are planned for Mersing, Kauntan, and Kuching. The 18th Div is slated for R & R for a few days then march South to help with the fall of Singapore. [:'(][:)] More support is in the works to help with the landing at Mendano. And Sorong is in need of more troops to hold out.

Update- Mindanao will be secure in another couple of days complete as the 56th will eleminate the last units on the Island.

Admirality Island taken and now the invasion force for Rabaul in loading and should be landing within the week. Plan is to capture Rabaul by Jan 1st. Phase one is to take Admirailty Islands(done), followed by Rabaul, Lae and Lunga. Phase Two will be capturing of Port Morebsy by Feb 1st and securing the and landing of baseforces at, Gili Gili, Kiriwina, Shortland, Buna, and Munda. By that time Rabaul should a level 4 with Lae at least a level 2-3 and Lunga at pace to be a level 4 by April.

Central Pacific---- The Americans have left the area of Tarawa. Probably too many CD guns and mines. Operation " Seek the Hider" has been cancelled since the Americans have left the area. Baker Island assult forces will be landing in a few days. The decision to take Canton Island has not been made yet, but plans and units will be moving just in case. The Americans and Allies have been overly aggressive so allowing them to feel as if they can hit back will play into my hands. I have sent 4 subs with float planes into the South Pacific from Suva to eastern OZ.

Sasebo HQ China/Burma Command

Kuching has fallen, as the Emperor has already announced, a day of national debauchery has been declared........
In both China and Burma some major ground combat is brewing..........
Today the Emporer called me to see him, and requested that I stopped posting whole combat reports, unless of real value,
he was apparently tired of enless scrolling...........

This came about when the senior commanders complainted that there was a shortage of coke bottle glasses to wear in reading the reports.

Update---- Mindanao the 56th will continue to attack and eliminate the last units on the island.

Central Pacific----KB will refuel at Kwajalein and will either support the Baker Island operations which will probably expand to include the Canton Island operations or will be moved to support the Rabaul operations. I-2 was sunk about 600 miles south of Pearl by SBDs which means the Saratoga is in the area and because it is extremely south of Pearl tells me that the other two carriers are probably in the Suva/Noumea area.

South Pacific---Amph TF is now loaded and will be headed to Rabaul.

Today Emperor Tojo has order General Fuji Matoya to transfer fighter, recon, and bomber units to Kuching to aid in the search for Attack Force Z. Sasebo HQ China/Burma Command

A mixed day for our Imperial forces.........
One of taskforces(off Admiralty is) was attacked by Allied Cruisers: One heavy, three light, and we lost four PGs..........
On the plus side Kautan and Alor Setar fell........
Here is the situation in China
The arrows show movement for the Army groups.....
Heavy ground combat on the way.
