...you guessed it. The graphics are...hmmm. I'm finding it difficult to see what's what!

But I will continue through the tutorials and give this puppy the chance she deserves!

However, while on the subject, what are your thoughts on the graphics?

Well, i didn't play (just a bit so I'm a newbie) this game for many ears. At this time, i liked the graphics.
I'm currently downloading the fulll game again. And I will try it soon. I will tell you if my perception of graphics changed :-)

Go to the prefernces screen and turn on the ID tags for all units. This makes it much easier to see the units.

I'm personally very pleased with the graphics. If I have difficulty seeing infantry in certain terrain, I simply magnify the map to get a better view. I enjoy using the magnifying tool both for the big picture and the close in fighting.

Not to change the subject, but Alby, have you gotten or read the book, The Alamo, An Illustrated History," By Edwin Hoyt? He is one of the best military history authors I know and you would like this one.

They have them for less than $2.00 here

I always had trouble seeing infantry especially in the jungle. However sometime ago Flashfyre made a graphics mod that solved this problem. It's now part of Alby's mod that is available at the Depot.

I have the same problem, but then I figured maybe this could be an added touch of realism. Seeing the enemy in the jungle was never that easy anyway so I accept the burden. Good to see you are still around Rich12545.

What else is new in the graphics world?

Yessir WB I have that book, as well as many others
I really like it as well as "Alamo Traces" By lindley, but my favorite is "A Time To Stand" by Walter Lord.
Have you had a chance to see the 2004 Movie?
You will find that these are not the perfect bigger than life heros portrayed in the Wayne version....but flawed men, just fighting for what they believe in.

I made myself some sets of infantry mods for use with ModSwap.
I renumbered the IJA infantry light tan to Soviet for dark terrain, FF's brown Soviets for light terrain, FF light green Allies for dark terrain.
Sometimes all in one mods don't work with all terrain.
ID Flags on helps.

Hi Bill, well it's not so much as I'm still around but I always come back to play this game no matter what else I play. LOL. And it's always pleasantly surprising to find another update even though it's been announced there won't be any more.[:)]
And I don't mind finding the enemy hard to see in the jungle as my own units. What I'd like to see is someone reducing the size of the flags to about a third the current size. I looked into doing it but couldn'f figure it out. But Flash's mod helps a lot, makes the infantry much easier on these old eyes.

Has anyone had a thought about changing the blue starting line. I can deal with the troops color. But when I set my troops I have a devil of a time finding the blue line in the zoom out mode.
