lost serial number

Post by afspret »

I lost the serial number for UV. I bought my copy at EB back in 2003 and I honestly can't remeber if I registered the game or not. I threw away the box but kept all the contents but nothhing has the serial number on it. I have a Kinkos made copy of the manual that I got through the mail. Is there any way I can find out how to get the number or am I stuck?

I wasn't aware UV even had a serial number. All I got is the CD (threw away the box and manuals [:D]). I've been able to uninstall and reinstall UV several times now.

I clicked on the register link in the members area and it asked for a serial number. I finally got high-speed internet and wanted to d/l all the patches and thought you need to register to d/l them. In WitP you are prompted to enter a serial number when you install a patch. Do you not need one for UV?

When UV came out it was on CD only: there wasn't an downloadable version. You need the CD in the drive for the original version to work: it doesn't require a serial number. All the patches for the original version can be downloaded from the downloads page of the UV section, which can be accessed from the GAMES option of the menu bar which is below the Matrix Games logo at the top of this page.

The serial number option in the members area is for the newer, downloadable version of UV.

UV only has a serial number if you bought it via digital download or game on demand through our online store in the last few months. Only games with serial numbers can be registered in the Members Area, but downloads are also available through our Games pages (click on GAMES in the top menu). If you bought it through EB, you never had a serial number and don't need one. [8D]
