Looking for Japanese opponent for CHS

Post by Andrew Brown »

OK. I have done enough WitP modding. Now it is time to actually play. I am hoping to start a PBEM game as the Allied player, and I am therefore looking for someone willing to play CHS as the Japanese.

I am interested in playing for enjoyment, not to win. I don't like gamey tactics, but I also prefer sticking to common sense instead of having a long list of house rules. I would be open to negotiation on House rules, however. The one thing I would insist on is that KB go to PH on turn 1.

I can probably only manage 1 turn a day, possibly more on some weekend days. There will be times when busy or travelling for work that I won't be available at all. I am in the Australian Eastern time zone (GMT+10).

I have never played PBEM before, and my WitP game experience is VERY limited (too busy modding!), so I will not play very well, at least at first.

I will probably start an AAR thread, not for regular postings of every turn, but occasional summaries and notes regarding points of interest about the map and CHS.

My preferred setting are:

CHS scenario 155 version 1.0
WitP Patch level 1.6
Extended map (although would consider playing scen 154 on my "standard" map)
1 or 2 day turns
FOW on
Non Historical start, or historical if preferred
Turn 1 Suprise on
Vary Setup off
Sub doctrines both on or off (not sure)
Allied Damage control on
Variable or very variable reinforcements

So, is there anyone interested?

Andrew

I would be happy to try this out for a fun Game. I dont use gamey tactics mostly cause I dont know any[:D] and am a history buff. Will take me a bit to get turn one ready though as I dont have one set up for CHS

OK. Any particular rules/settings you would prefer (different from mine)?

Nope, but after a quick 2 turn against the AI I think I would rather go with a non historical start, wont change the Pearl Harbor attack but will allow me to change my production and stuff so the computer AI doesnt hose me all up[:D]

Other than that your settings are fine. We will go 2 day turns just to be different. Turn will be on its way most likely tommorow, as its late here and I wont finish it tonight (not and sleep[>:])

No worries - whenever you are ready. Do you have a preference for sub doctrine?

Hey Ken, it would help if you sent along our game as well.

Andrew, I'll play you as well either side. I just got done loading the CHS mod with extended map.

How say you?

I'm going to stick to one game only, at least for now. Got a busy life right now.
