Manual printing - what's that trick?

I remember with UV there was a trick to stopping the background image on each page from printing. Does anyone recall what that was?

Hint - buying retail is not an answer [:)]

I used Grayscale on my printer and it worked.

THere was something about layers that would turn the watermark off, I couldn't find it...
