Reinstall question

Post by BaitBoy »

I am starting a new game and have decided to do a clean install of WitP, but I am unsure on exactly what I need to do. Do install the game and patch it directly to 1.60 or do I need to run the other patches first?

Please forgive me if this sounds like a bonehead question, but I couldn’t find anything in the patch notes.

Install in this order(assuming you start with 1.0 version):

1.30 comprehensive
1.40
1.50
1.60

If you have broadband, redownload the game and it will be at least 1.5.

Have they updated that? I just got it two-and-a-bit months ago, and I had to update it from 1.30 forward...

I signed in and went to digital downloads, but I can only find the patches. Where do I go to download the game? Do I have to re-register my serial number or something?

If you've got the disk space create a copy of a fresh install, so that if you ever have a problem or wanna use mods then you can go back to vanilla easily.[:)]

I have redownloaded the game for every patch and done a fresh install (once the game download is updated). I burn a copy of the zip to a cd.
