Minor Casualty Reporting Discrepency

The end of battle report seems to confuse offense and defense in the casualty reports. I am playing Austria and am sitting back on defense. I fight many detailed battles in my own home provinces and each time at the end of the battle, it reports casualties telling me the attackers and defenders casualties and each time my losses are listed as the attacker. If I go look at detailed battle reports, the numbers are right and sure enough the figure presented as the attackers losses correspond with Austrian losses. But really, I wasn't the attacker.
