Any member of staff likely to look at the problems with the 2.41 Patch ?

Any possibility of a 2.42 ? Timescale ? [>:]

( Extras not req'd - just fixes to the 2.40 & 2.41 problems ! )

The silence is deafening, isn't it?

I think we've seen the last hurrah for patching good ol' UV....the game's been out for five years!

I gotta say I have a new appreciation for the 2.30 version.
The pilot bug always bothered me, but after removing the turd that was v2.41, I can live with it!

What a apt phrase ! [;)]

Well if needs be I can always uninstall and reinstall 2.30 from my disc.
I have even saved the patches to outside of the matrix folder for possible reinput sometime in the next decade, and saved my current game to a floppy disc. Hopefully I can replace this back in the saved games file after the reinstall of 2.30. [:D].
My Sub will have to stay landlocked I guess [:(]

You would think that after all the "effort" involved in the last two patches
the people involved would like to tidy up the problems ![&:]

Isn't the digital download just a waste of time & money if its based on 2.40 ? [&:] [;)]

I would think you could do this, but it they're saved games from 2.41....well I don't know what kind of screwy things might happen.

When 2.40 was announced, I put all games on hold...and waited...and waited...and waited some more....
Finally it comes out, and the coastwatcher bug kills all joy...
So 2.41 is announced....and I waited...and waited...and waited some more...
Finally! It's out!

But sadly, it introduced more new bugs than it fixed....

I wonder if those poor souls can "downgrade" to 2.30?

I'm just getting ready to play PBEM for the first time. Is it then the consensus of the more experienced grognards that I should only upgrade to Version 2.30 and skip 2.40 and 2.41?

Hello...

Currently working on problem wherein group fragment appears with no stats.

UV vs. 1.42.

Bugs Fixed:

1) Aircraft, even in groups in rear area, which had stood down, were disappearing for no apparent reason. Fixed.
2) Pilots in excess of maximum aircraft for group were being retained. Fixed. Note that if the group has many excess pilots, it may take a couple turns to reassign them all and pilots with kills will not be removed from group, so if you have a 24 plane group with 28 pilots, all of whom have kills, don’t worry. Be happy.
3) Coast watcher reports for enemy shipping far out to sea were being generated. Fixed.
4) Air groups in the reinforcement queue with zero aircraft were being classified as “Disbanded/Withdrawn”. Fixed. All groups in the queue are now classified as “Reinforcement”.

Clarification: When a player tries to bomb a target hex, with friendly troops in it, effectiveness will be reduced, as group commanders try to avoid friendly fire casualties.

Clarification: If orders to load a task force are given and the entire load can be accomplished, immediately, the load orders become “Idle”. So, if you give orders for a fast task force to load a small land unit and it can load the entire unit right then and there and you want to take some supply in some extra, empty destroyers, you should then click on “Load Supply”.

Mike, that #1 is not only with units that are stood down. My CVs are losing F4F-4s even when set to 30% CAP and no missions being flown. I have lost about 30 of them with my TFs standing off south of Nouema.
