COG difficulty rating

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

COG difficulty rating

Post by nukkxx5058 »

Hi, How do you rate COG in terms of complexity ? Give a rating between 1 and 10 ? Given that the most complex game I know is WitP for which I give 10/10.
For comparison, I give 4/10 to Flashpoint Germany and 6/10 to HttR.and 3 to Capagn on danube.

For me, CoG is rated 8/10.

.. i haven't played the highest difficuly yet so i don't know.. but the a.i. will take advantage of any mistake or gap in your lines.. and they seem to ahve the amzing ability to move entire armies past you.. It might be a while before most people start playing on teh higher levels.. it only came out a few days ago...

complexity: 8/10 (my 10/10 is Europa Universalis, the boardgame.. nearly unplayable, but still the best game i've ever seen)

difficulty: not sure, it depends on which nations you are using; but i haven't win a campaign yet, two 2nd places and a 3rd at difficult)

I find this game to be more complex than witp...

WitP, contrary to what most feel, isn't that complex in my opinion. It just doesn't have the most intuitive UI and I think that leads to more confusion with gamers than the concepts behind the game.

So, I'd rate this an 8 and witp a 7.

Because of the presence of the advisers, this game can be played as a 4/10 - with all the advisers on, or as about a 9/10 if you do it all yourself.
