If you haven't got it already send me an email, I'll send it back as an attachment.

I think that the PacEditor 1.99 is still for sale, so, I don't think e-mailing it is very legal... However, I did purchase my copy almost 3 years ago!

As an alternative to BEAR’s excellent Pacwar Editor, I have created a new Pacific War Database Editor. I developed it because I wanted to have a way to quickly edit large chunks of the database, and I wanted to be able to get at the aircraft and ship icon assignments, along with other areas previously inaccessible. Major Tom and I have used it extensively in updating the Pacific War scenarios for the new patch release. You can find the free program along with free ship and aircraft icon editors at my Pacific War Page:

http://home.earthlink.net/~tmflood/page2.html

You need Microsoft Excel to run the program. I used Excel 2000 to develop
it, and I believe it works with Excel 97, but this hasn’t been fully tested.
I apologize to Pacwarriors who may not have this program and would rather
see a stand-alone editor, but at the time I created the program it was basically all I had to work with. Using Excel also gave me a fast way to develop the program while giving the user access to all of Excel’s cool cut and paste features. I consider the editors to be beta-test versions (may contain bugs) and any comments to make them better are greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Rich Dionne

Major Tom, Yes Bear is still selling it for $15 and will contact him regarding the use of it. I don't want someone who spent all that time developing it to not get compensated for it. If it was some big corporation that was notorious for releasing bug ridden games I wouldn't feel at all bad if it was pirated. Please!!!, I don't approve of pirating software and I don't want to start any threads about this topic. I just wanted to know if anyone was able to point me in the general direction of an editor for Pacwar, because I wasn't sure that Bear( Yeager ) received my email. Thanks to all of you for helping me and making Pacwar that much enjoyable. Isn't it a shame that a game developed in '92? still beats most of the games recently released in this theatre.

I just didn't want to see any of you guys getting into any trouble Image

Check out Rich's editor, if you happen to be lucky enough to have Microsoft Excel. If you don't have Excel, then I recommend getting it! Excel 97 works with it, and I am pretty sure you could get it from someone who had Excell 2000 and doesn't want their 97 anymore. It is the best PacWar editor I have ever seen in my life!
