Visual features

Post by sulup »

to PACWAR team,

I played WIR in high detail settings and I like the idea of having air-to-air combat show the number of planes damaged in brackets for each round of combat. I hope this visual feature has been included in PACWAR. It's good to see whats damaged and whats destroyed. Kinda make your losses not look so bad.

Are you sure? In PACWAR each individual air battle only showed a figure combining air kills and damages together. There is no way to tell how many planes are damaged and destroyed during the air battle.

ah, now i understand, my apologies. Actually i was'nt aware that WiR made the destinction between damage and kill. (but then again i usually play with the detail level no higher than medium to speed things up.)

i was under the impression that damaged vs. destroyed in the air combat routine was part of the FOW issue. Heh, almost does'nt matter in the begining anyway (when fighting A6M's) With their durability rating you know that most of those hits are gonna be kills. Its the Japanese's biggest achillies heel given their very limited pilot cadres Image
