Pacific War is an old classic that is being "patched & enhanced" by the Matrix team under the title "Gary Grigsby's Pacific War: The Matrix Project.

War In The Pacific is an entirely new game based on the old classic.

In addition to what else was said, Pacific War (PACWAR) is a DOS game that Matrix is improving by fixing bugs and making some small improvements. However, because its a DOS game that originally used almost all of the available 640k of memory, major improvements are not possible. "War in the Pacific" (WitP) is a Win95/98 game built from the ground up that is going *way* beyond PACWAR including features and details that are impossible to do with the DOS game. So there will be a huge difference.

Pac War is one of the best games ever made.
War in the Pacific is a wet dream come true,
I am so excited about this game I can hardly contain myself.

Hi all

Yes the future looks bright and shiny. Remake
of PAW now, War in the Pacific later and maybe Harpoon4 sometime next year. Only one problem, will there be time enough...
