le garde recule?

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

le garde recule?

Post by godochaos »

I had an ugly slugfest and one of my French Imperial Garde units took such heavy casualties that it was disbanded after the battle.
Do I need to buy a completely new garde unit? = sad emperor
or
Does a destroyed unit go into some sort of queue to be "reconstituted" over time? = happy emporer

It is disbanded and you need to purchase another.

P.S. "la Garde" - it's feminine gender!

What happens to the "disbanded" troops? Are they placed back in the "recruit" pool?

Disbanded is because they took enough casulties to reduce them to under 1000 men. The survivors are begging on street corners.
