Hortlunds philosophy corner

The era of procrastination, of half-measures, of soothing and baffling expedients, of delays, is coming to a close.
In its place we are entering a period of consequences..

my philosophy:

Sh*t happens, and THAN you die.
Sh*t happens, especially to ME.

I am ALWAYS the cheery type [:D]
In vinum illic est sapientia , in matera illic est vires , in aqua illic es bacteria.

In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is strength, in water there are bacteria.

Well, more correctly, Sh*t happens, and then MAYBE you die.

I truly love the sacrifice one. The image is stunning, a magnificent photo.

Sometimes its good to reflect on all the tiny electronic lives in the game, and how your decisions affect them..

Oh dear, let's not get into a "The pyramids were built by slaves" discussion; makes my teeth itch.

Anyway, to paraphrase Denis Leary:

Most people think Life sucks and then you die. I disagree. I think Life sucks, then you get cancer. You go into chemotherapy, you lose all your hair, you feel like sh*t... Then the cancer goes into remission, you come out of the hospital, you look great, you feel great... Then one day, you step off the curb at 68th by Lincoln Center, get hit by a bus, and then MAYBE you die!
