Loce COG but need explanations.....

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Loce COG but need explanations.....

Post by GBS »

I am playing Sweden in the standard scenario in order to learn the game a bit. I can't find explanations for these in the manual.
1) When the manual refers to a unit receiving supply from an "adjacient" depot, does it mean a depot in an adjacient provence/country or adjacient to it in the same provence?
2) I have concured Zealand and have taken the rest of Denmark as a protectorate. It now shows a cross hatching on the map. My other protectorates such as Finland show a single hatching or striping. What is the difference?
3) Hanover has a cross hatching that looks like a cross between France and Britian. Is this because it is a protectorate of Britian and is occupied by France? If I attack into Hanover am I attacking France or my ally Britian? If I concur Hanover does it come to me or revert back to Britian? [&:]

Thanks for your advice.

Adjacent does include "in the next province over".

The cross hatching is to indicate that if you lose Zealand, those guys will go too.

If you "attack into Hannover" you would be attacking your enemy - you have to declare war before you can attack your allies.

If Hannover has been conquered by France, then when you conquer it, it becomes yours.
If it was merely occupied, then when you boot them out it would revert to the owner.
To check, I would right click on Hannover, and see what the menu says: it will say "France" if it is owned by France, and "Britain" if it is owned by Britain, AFAIK.
