Trapped In Thuringia

Post by Grand_Armee »

Being a semi-greedy Prussia and having the (supposed) good will of the French, I decided to take on little Saxony. No problem for me, I had two completely full armies with little to do.

So, I declared, and made my attack...at which point Saxony must have offered Russia a protectorate. Russia of course told me to back off, and I said "no way". So began the seige of her capital.

Russia was being flogged by the Frogs and their hispanic allies so I figured I had the upper hand.

Lo and behold, Russia surrendered to me. My armies were kicked out of Saxony which remained a Russian protectorate...I couldn't DOW it later...and I couldn't ask the future commies to cede it to me, either when drawing up the surrender documents. Anyway, that's for checking out later in the rules.

At this point, I was vainly struggling to extract my army from Thuringia. I couldn't get direction arrows no matter how much I clicked.

My erstwhile friend Napoleon decided to whack me on the head at this time. He beat the life out of my "Armee von Thuringin" then came for Berlin and my other, less cavalry and Artillery laden force.

Well, between the frogs and the dons, my single usable army was quickly rendered hors de combat despite two victories in five. So, I surrendered...lost Silesia to Spain, and had to weaken defence 37....whatever that means. Anyway, I wanted my force in Thuringia back. Still, whittled to nothing, I wanted to rebuild it. No dice. It stayed as mobile as a glacier in winter. Time to click on "exit"

Did you try the "violate neutrality" option? That should work in cases where your army remains on a neutral's territory.
