Does anyone know if we can add a player after the game is started? That way we could get mac85 into the game..

I do not believe we can, add a player after start.

Given we just started we could start again. I am ok with that as I have not done my turn yet.

Austria has the turn so we should decide soon as he is 6 hours or so ahead of North America.

Here is an updated list of who is who, with the addition of Mac85 if we start again.

FRANCE - MAC85 Email: neil.mcdowell@hotpopremove.com
Britian - munited18 Email: munited18@hotmailremove.com
Prussia - Jordan Email: JDJordan01@sbcglobalremove.net
Austria - Guenter Email: cog_austria@chelloremove.at
Russia - MarcelJV Email: sleens@epixremove.net
Turkey - Krec Email: kevyrec@sbcglobalremove.net

If we are adding in France, then Mac85 will have to restart the game and send his turn to Britain.

I don't mind restarting, but I could not get to it until about 930pm CST tonight. However, I think restarting would be worth it to get France in the game...

Well no worries as France would have to start the game. So you would get to the turn later. Hopefully you remember what you did so it can progress quickly so you can then send the turn to jordan.

Based on the time zones for players we will not doubt take two days to do a turn, as Austria is in Europe, and I am not sure where Mac85 is located.

Here is where I think we are in time zones.

France - MAC85 Timezone ???
Britian - munited18 Pacific time zone
Prussia - Jordan Central Time zone
Austria - Guenter Central European Time zone.
Russia - Eastern Time Zone.
Turkey - Krec ?? Timezone.

Please let me know if I have anything wrong.

I am in Texas CST and I think Jordan is California PST...

My zip concern yesterady was a piece of cake! Both of the files were zipped into one and Jordan had no trouble getting them to work. So, once we start we should run smooth. I don't mind one turn taking a whole day. I will enjoy just playing with humans..

Here's my turn schedule:

I can take a turn at around 6:00 pst or so (3 am in Vienna)...so this ones kinda moot.

I may be able to take an occasional turn in the morning before I head to work...about 5:30 pst (3 pm in Vienna). I wouldn't book this though.

Even if we were to try and switch up players & nations (which I don't think is necessay), I think we're looking at one turn a day, two if very lucky. I'm fine with that.

Actually I was trying to get an idea for how long it would take a turn to reach me.

If we assume one can only do their turn in the evenings then I do not see how we get one rotation done in a day.

The file has to go through the west coast, then to Europe and then the east cost back to the west coast and we are done.

So I see 24 hours need for everyone to complete a turn. Then run the turn.

Well the good news is we get practice time in between turns. I know I will need it.

Should we adjust the difficulty level for the AI when we set up the next game ro does it matter in a PBEM? I just thought that it would be a good challenge to have Sweden and Spain playing as Difficult..
What is up with everyone trying to bring down the greatest empire of all time!?[:-]

I am in the same boat: I would love a PBEM game.
Austria preferred.

Hey Paul,

I think Spain and Sweden are the remaining choices. It appears we're all in the same boat here...not a lot of experience, looking for a fun, introductory game and we all have pretty busy shedules (so one turn a day or so).

It would be great if you would like to join in. If this works out, then after this game maybe we'll get a little more serious with the next one and switch countries as well. I am up for playing any country.

If you would like to play, I would suggest you e-mail MarcelJV directly and let him know.
