Getting/building corps

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Getting/building corps

Post by Grand_Armee »

I'm still learning this puppy, and haven't discovered a way for any nation to build corps. I can build armies by the dozen, but not a single corps...even as France. When put up against France, I can't come close to matching her for size in a battle. I got the "Corps" upgrade as Prussia once, but can't build any of them.

greetings, i think you don't know that is needed a barracks level 5+ for build corps, and a large amount of textiles, i think between 100 and 80. starting with the "power" feature at +3 give you 3 corps and units to roughly replenish them, do not move corps empty, i have read if you move empty corps them can disband.

with regards,

alaric.

There is no plan of battle that survives the contact with the enemy.

That's correct about moving an empty Corps - now you see it, now you don't!

You can move empty corps in your territory without problems, but they are disbanded if they end their turn in enemy territory.

Empty fleets cannot be moved into sea zones -- they are disbanded in sea zones if empty.

That might be the intent, but I do not believe that is what we are seeing. In my experience, if you move an empty corp it will vanish.

I have just been moving corps around empty in my home nation, and they seem to be OK. Sure yours didn't run into a cosack or a guerilla or something? - An enemy unit will wipe them out. If you see this again, please let us know as much as possible about the circumstances so I can try to reproduce it.
