Tready Question

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Tready Question

Post by ezjax »

Playing 1805 Scenario and Defeated Austria, Terms of Surrender in Treaty were to Cede 3 Provinces // Tyrolia, Ventia, Linz, and some money. (AI) came back with the following. Tready was within 7500 surrender Points and yes I did pick all 3 Provinces.
Is there a limit on Cede Province requested or is this a bug.

In the treaty disclosure portion in each turn's summary of events, there are frequent miss-outs of nations' names (as in between ? and ?). Besides, you may not say no to the counter-proposal from a target nation (it is up to AI to agree to, or decide on a different treaty make-up from, what you have proposed) even if the clauses ill suit your purpose.

ezjax, this should not have happened, but since this works fine for me, I suspect the UI was hard to use, rather than an actual bug. Lets see:

Venetia is actually a protectorate at the start, so if you clicked on it inside a cede province dialog, the dialog would not have updated. Did you know the dialog updates? - When you click on the little map, the cross hairs move, and the name of the province you have selected shows up. If it won't change, that means the place you clicked isn't a 'conquered' province of the country you selected back on the main treaty screen. [You can force the enemy to "liberate" protectorates, which you can then independantly attack and conquer.]

I suspect that when you selected Linz you missed the click a little - again, the little map in the dialog didn't update...

Please go into the treaty screen and have a play around with the cede province and liberate protectorate selectors, and see if maybe I have guessed correctly.
