If anybody is interested, flooding has gone, sys damage down to 95%, Speed up to 2 knots. In Noumea (level 9 port) with 2 AR's...

I also noted that part of the sys damage was repaired AT SEA while underway with the 2 AR's to Noumea, maybe AR's also repair in a TF at sea ?????

Ships will normally repair while at sea if damage is really severe. I had one repair over 5 pts. sys while limping from the front lines (took about a month) with damage at originally over 95% sys. ARs were not involved in that effort - it had a MSW to help, though.[:D]

An earlier post made mention of the quantum state of the cruiser, being both sunk and afloat at the same time. This is true as long as an outside observer does not observe the cruiser's state. Once you sneak a peek, the 'wave-function' collapses and the cruiser is either afloat or rusting at the bottom of the harbor. That is according to the Copenhagen interpretation of Quantum Mechanics. The Many World interpretation states that when the cruiser was damaged, the entire universe split into two new universes. In one universe the crusier sank, and in the other it is happily steaming along.

Aside from the fact that the universe doesn't split into two new ones, but an infinite number of alternate universes. What doktor is describing sounds more like the Trousers of Time Theory, by P. Stibbons.

Does this mean that there are multiple universes where Japan won the war?
And possibly even one where Ireland won? (Infinite possibilities means every possibility has a definite probability?)

Also, does an AR have to be docked with or disbanded into a port to work?

Depends what universe you are in![:D]

Never actually tried this experiment of NOT disbanding the AR. Certainly don't think it will work if it is considered "at sea".

Just got MY PRECIOUS Cl limp into auckland (NZ), sys damage down to 90, and I expect her to be operationall again in 4 months [;)].

I send a stong ASW force with her on her trip, just in case Zecke felt lucky and put some jap subs arround, but nothing happenend and she arrived safely....

4 MONTHS?!?!? In what time warp? It'll take at least twice as long!

4 MONTHS?!?!? In what time warp? It'll take at least twice as long!

We shall see, disbanded her in Auckland with two AR's, game date is 10 th of October 1942, I think she will be operational again in 4 months (with 3-4 PBEMS a day that will take about a month real-time).

That means if Zecke doesn't think up ANOTHER house rule and stops me from playing him altogether..

I just started port attacking Rabaul with a squadron of Corronado's from that base west of port moresby (witch Zecke took by the way) and apparently I hit something vital because now I get a new house rule send with that particular turn which states: No night port attacks by patrols because “it would PREVENT him from stationing carriers in Rabaul” [8|][8|]......

That is the THIRD house rule he came up with in 30 or so turns to stop me from hurting him "unconventionally" (PT’s, night attacks, mining, etz.etz..)... Ironically, this game was started under "no rules TOTAL war [:(] )

Maybe you should rethink your choice of opponent...

Naa, He is a good opponent, but a bit on the "house rule inventive" side. But I will simply NOT accept any more rules, and he will have to learn to live with that.

Besides that, he can play 3-4 turns a day, not many opponents manage that feat [;)]
