AI surrenders out of left field

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

AI surrenders out of left field

Post by Gem35 »

In my game playing as Sweden, Prussia surrendered to me and I have no clue why. I'm kinda unsure if I was even at war with them. I never even had a single battle against them either. Anyone have this happen to them ?
It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?

Hi, When their national morale gets to a certain low point they surrender to whomever they are at war with. They may have declared war on you intending to send a force but never got to it because it was engaged by other nations forces.

That seems like what could have happened, it happened to me... I never even knew I was at war with them.

Playing Sweden, Trondheim became a protectorate of mine but I never received a notification about it...the province colors just turned into stripes and that was that.....I think there might be some glitches in the notification process, or it should be fine tuned to include more events so you know what is going on....

This situation occurred to me and I just treated it as an welcome act of recognition of my esteem.

Same here...Sweden surrendered to me. Didn't even know I was at war with them. But squeezed them with the terms of surrender. Good for my treasury!

If you play Spain and the French give a good account of themselves in the first couple of battles, you often get both Austria and Russia surrendering to you.

20% of both their incomes for two years and two months for doing nothing. Boo yah!
