Post by Hard Sarge »

just fought a battle with Aus, I am France

40,000 to 43,000

I ended up killing 10846 and lost 350

how did both sides rout ?

which of course, also got the plato error since both sides routed

Would probably need more detailed information. For example, did you capture any low-morale enemy artillery? (IIRC someone else thought this was a bug.) Do you have evidence that your units didn't have low morale? (Maybe you entered the battle with low-morale units.) Etc.

nope didn't capture anything during the battle

not sure about before the battle, but most of the troops were in the 5-7 range during the battle

(I was checking on them when I first got the message about our troops are starting to waver)

I Didn't have any leaders with this army ?

Well, it's possible...all it really takes is one low-morale unit too close to the others, and with some bad luck the chain reaction begins...

It's just hard to say without detailed knowledge of what the situation was. Maybe let us know if if happens repeatedly?

LOL
hope it don't happen to often, since it crashes the game if both sides route

no, that battle had nobody in trouble of losing morale or quiting the battle, my line was fine, no heavy damage or losses

hopefully just a oddball

I am having the same problem on a couple of battles now. 2 generals on field, playing as France, morale across the board between 5 and 9. Just routed another Russian inf. I was expecting to see the pop-up, there forces are beginig to waver & low and behold it came up with both sides wavering and routing. This must be a bug.

I found and fixed one necessary cause of this bug. The beta testers haven't reported this happening any more, but as it doesn't seem to happen all that often I'm not yet sure we've sufficiently fixed it. In any case, it should at least be better in the first patch.
