Alt Tabbing

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Crown of Glory won't let me alt tab to another program, which is something of an annoyance, since I'm trying to look things up in the manual. Anybody know if there's a way to do this?

what helped me was to open up lots of stuff like an IE page, the manual, raleighs tips, etc..

then just click around during the game and keep trying... it eventually works for me...

Its a bug, which is fixed in the patch we are currently testing.
With 1.0, save your game and choose "End Game". From the main screen now load your saved game: alt-tab should be back!

Sorry, but that doesn't work. Followed it to the letter but I still can't alt-tab. The selections show up alright when I hit alt-tab, but when I choose one I get nothing.

I don't mind not having a printed manual if I can alt-tab back and forth, but your suggestion about saving, then reloading just doesn't do it. I still can't get the tutorial manual (or the full manual, for that matter) up once the game is running, meaning that without a real manual the game is just useless to me. How am I supposed to play it if I have no way of reading the documentation on the fly? No, memorizing all of it isn't an option, as I'm sure you'll understand [;)]

Please fix this ASAP, because I've been waiting since forever for a game of this type to come along.

Thanks, I never doubted that you'll fix it. Now, where and when can I get the patch? [:)]
