Do I really have to change video mode manually?

Post by Griswel »

Just curious. The game starts up, but clearly only the upper left of the screen is showing. When I reset settings manually it runs fine. Do I really have to manually swap to 1024x768 every time I play?

[PS - If so, how much memory do I have to have free in the lower 640k?]

It changes automatically for me - so it appears to be related to your particular setup somehow. Maybe you could detail what kind of system you are running on and post a dxdiag?

Thanks. If it's supposed to happen automatically I'll just deal with it.

I just wondered.

Windows programs don't care about "DOS memory" for the most part - this will not affect GGWaW which uses Windows access to your entire memory.

Are you normally running in 800x600 mode?
