Post by scott64 »

December will live again in Infamy. This will be a 3X3 team effort with myself, Scott, will comand the DEI, Australia, NZ, SW Pacific, and South Pacific. Nomad will be incharge of CBI and Malaya. And last but not least our CIC will be Gary who will command everything else. We will be up against Feurer Kreig, Alexcobra, and Mantill. Good luck to all.
Lucky for you, tonight it's just me

Those were merely fleet exercises. Jimmy Doolittle has been relieved of command for his gross negligence. I just don't see aircraft being a major factor in modern naval warfare.

My main course of action is set up a defensesive bases around my realm. I would like to prepare Derby and Darwin for a plan if they Japs get close to North OZ. My main bases will be PM, Noumea, Lunga, Lugaville, Gili Gili, Darwin, and Cairnes. Those bases will get the most support. My first objective is to keep possession of as my DEI as possible. This entail shippping out as much resourses as possible to OZ and India. Also to build up my main bases, Palembang, Batavia, and Soerabaja. Soerabaja is planned to be our sub base in DEI. When the time is near to pull out, I would like to get as much planes andc ships to OZ as possible. My second plan is to hold PM. This entails bombers and fighters and lost of support. Gili Gili is crucial for PM defense. It will be built up to easy the pain that will be inflicted on PM. I would like to see PM at a size 9 base and Gili Gili at size 6 if possible. The third objective is to hold Noumea. Again I will build up to a size 9 port. Lots and lots of fighters and bombers and support. Raubal will be the ace in the hole. [:'(][:D]

Proposed forward patrol bases in the Eastern Pacific including the "Northern Gap". This should alert us whenever Nagumo decides to make a forray with KB.

I guess I am supposed to say something here. [:)]

I command the forces in Russia, China, Malaya, Burma, and India.

Russia:
All bases are set for expansion of everything they can expand. Until the Japanese make a mistake that is all for the Russians for all most the entire war.

China:
I moved a number of units around. I sent 7 Corps to Canton with a HQ to try and pin his forces. I moved the Divisions attached to SEAC into Burma to set up blocking forces. I also sent 2 HQs with them. Moved the three Squadrons of the AVG to China. After one turn I will put them up against, hopefully, IJA aircraft. I will use them for LRCAP to kill IJA bombers and fighters. I move the units along the Vienam border to Kunming and south to the road junction outside of Hanoi. [:D] Hong Kong lasted one turn at least, not sure if it will last next turn or not.

Malaya:
I only redeployed some fighters and torpedeo bombers and set altitude to 6000 feet for level bombers on Naval attack. I am waiting for a turn or two to see where my Japanese opponet will attack. Maybe I can hit some transport ships.

Burma:
Sent the two brigades at Moulein one hex to the road junction as a blocing force. The Base force is on the way to Rangoon. All units starting in Rangoon have been dispached to Akyab to set up a major defence position there.

India:
Not a lot to do here in the first few turns. I rounded up all of the AK, TK, and APs. I sent two TFs of empty AKs to Perth for eventual movement to the West Coast of the US. I set up a 3x7 AK CS TF between Karachi and Perth. Set up more CS TFs for Akyab( 1 AK ), Diamond Harbot( 3 AK ) and Trincomlee( 3 AK ). Also set up one CS TF at Bombay( 2 AK ) for Colombo. I sent about 6 TKs down for Admiral Scott to use in the DEI. Maybe he can move some oil to a useful place. [:D]

Over all, I have not used any PPs yet, Admiral Scott is getting the lions share and first call on them. He has a lot of things he can use them for. I do plan to upgrade a few Chinese leaders and some British/Commonwealth leaders.

My first turn entailed moving every AK and SS from PI. Loaded some fuel and supplies out of DEI. Moved all capital ships from PI towards Kendari. My subs are all around PI, maybe I can score some hits. I will be gradually shipping out my bombers to Darwin, over the course of a few weeks. Should I be trying to save some HQs from PI? How about other units? Questions, comments, or concerns?

Scott, I would not worry too much about getting aircraft to Darwin. They can be very useful in the DEI. The 3rd FS could help protect Palembang and the B-17s could be used at Bativia to bomb oil fields on Borneo captured by Japan. Remember, don't just bail out, jab some and then move back to another line. Make Japan fight or at least prepare to fight for every inch of space. [:D]

We need time to allow our factories to produce the weapons of freedom. [8D]

Our AAR has not had a lot of activity lately. I can say that the Allies are doing pretty much what you would expect. About all we can do is slow down the Japanese at this point, it is only 12/14/41 right now.

China: Some action here. I moved some corps into Canton and now have 11 IJA units stuck there. He can not get enough odds to get me out and he can not move any into Hong Kong. He tried to land paratroops into Wuchow and got roundly defeated. I am trying to get a corp to that hex and squish them. It looks like he is moving on Yenen and I doubt that I can hold out long. I also moved into Nanning and am holding a couple stuck there also.

Burma: I have seen no movement into Burma. I pulled the units out of Rangoon and sent them to Akyab. I have a blocking force North of Moulein to slow him down if possible.

Malaya: I am losing a lot of aircraft there and not getting much for it. But, I keep trying, the replacement pilots are usually better than the ones I started with. At least they are no worse. The only base he has taken is Khota Bharu and no other bases have any IJA troops in them. But I have seen a lot of aircraftflying against both Alor Star and Georgetown. And Naval bombardments against Kuantan. I have hit an AK with a torp and I think 2 AP/AKs with 250# bombs. A few hits on LCUS and runways, but not much at all. He has a lot of fighters up at his only base.
