Battle Records

Post by Agent Smith »

I think it is useful to have a thread to post outcomes of PBEM games.

Record #1
Lee Hunt (Axis) vs. Agent Smith (Soviets)
Winner: Lee (20 turn, Leningrad, Moscow, Gorki)
Comments: Main Soviet forces were routed in several big pockets in the first weeks of war. Russian attempt to knock out Finns failed. The 3rd Panzers Corps was surrounded near Kharkov in September but (with some luck) withstand all attacks.

Record #2
Agent Smith (Axis) vs. Steve Tornett (Soviets)
Winner: Draw (turn 49, we agreed to return to pre-war borders)
Comments: Steve had an edge over me.

Record #3
Lee Hunt (Axis) vs. Agent Smith (Soviets)
Winner: Lee Hunt on turn 166 (august of 1944)
Comments: It was a long and intresting game.

Record #4
Tomcatek (Axis) vs. Agent Smith (Soviets)
Winner: Agent Smith
Comments: Axis invasion was thwarted by Soviet defences. Winter assault destroeyd most of german forces. Axis surrendered.

Record #5
Savanniperkele (Axis) vs. Agent Smith (Soviets)
Winner: Savanniperkele
Comments: A real blitzkrieg! Good work Savanniperkele!

Record #6
Me410 (Soviets) vs. Agent Smith (Axis)
Winner: Me410
Comments: It was a 1943 compaign game

Record #7
Morphy (Axis) vs PYG (Soviets)
Winner: Morphy
Comments: In Dec. the following cities were captured: Vologda, Gorki, Voronezh, Stalingrad, Maikop, Novorossyisk.

Record #8
Morphy (Axis) vs Serge (Soviets)
Winner: Morphy
Comments: Moscow was seized on Sept. 21st, in early Novemeber Germans were advancing Vologda, seized Gorki, Voronezh and Maikop. Stalingrad was under attack.

Record #9
Serge (Axis) vs. Agent Smith (Soviets)
Winner: Draw
Comments: We play the full 209 turns game. It was really challenging.

Record #10
Angelo (Axis) vs. Agent Smith (Soviets)
Winner: Agent Smith on turn 48
Comments: German offence was stopped dead cold on Leningrad-Moscow-Tula-Orel-Kursk-Kharkov-Stalino line and then Wermacht was routed during the blizzards. Here is the final toll (17 may 1942):
Axis Soviet
63K 73K squads
8K 15K afvs
21K 23K guns
6K 20K planes

Record #11
Pierre (Axis) vs. Agent Smith (Soviets)
Winner: Pierre on turn 47

I think what could be really interesting as well is to post Screenshots of key weeks in the campaign, late October 1941 near Moscow, or a shot of someone actually conquering the Caucasus. If anyone has interesting moments or map situations please post them.

As for records, so far I've been crushed a couple times by m39 White Death but have enjoyed playing and learned a tremendous amount. Won once against Agent Smith. Ongoing campaigns against Serge from Amsterdam (about even as of August '41) and Agent Smith in Moscow and a third try at the White Death's Red Army (not going so well as of late October '41, only 5700 aircraft destroyed, about 30k squads and 6k tanks only destroyed).
