As you can see, War Plan Orange has a new name. And, contrary to the little forum blurb, in case you didn't see War Plan Orange is now a standalone game.

No, it won't cost as much as War in the Pacific. For more information on the game, I would suggest reviewing the official FAQs.

Cool I am glad it will be a standalone game even though I do own WiTP. Looked over the FAQ and did not see it, will the map be exactly like WiTP has? Island names and locations remain the same?

Thanks

It will be the same, except the color has been changed to that of an older brownish paper map. Also, Trimcomalee is now spelled Trincomalee.

No road or rail changes? Were all the routes developed by the time covered by War Plan Orange?

Actually, I am looking into that. Haven't decided at exactly what I'll do, but that would seem appropriate.

Ok, we don't have a finalized list yet, but we are making rail and road changes. Not sure which are final... but for sure bye bye ALCAN.

Will WiTP patches work with WPO or will we have seperate patch releases?

Seperate patch releases. WPO is its own game, and other than using the engine, is now completely independent.

Is the map the Matrix WITP version or AB version?

neither, my own, based off of WitP's version. ABs is not 100% good with the AI last I heard, so I redisgned the WitP map to be a more in theme map.

Your little mod seems to have taken on a life of it's own. Now it's a full blown game. Hehe. Time to start riding around in limosines stocked with babes...

Will it include the same editor in WITP?

So one might make modes of the concept?

I continually wonder why it is felt that games must have two names. I.e.

Shorter Main Title: Longer Sub Title

It seems to me that anyone who might buy WPO would know what it was all about, they don't need to be told that it involves dreadnoughts. Similarly, I suspect most people know that the War in the Pacific had something to do with Japan..

Not being rude I am just genuinely puzzled by this.
