What the heck is this????

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

What the heck is this????

Post by Grand_Armee »

Repeatedly I've seen nations I want as my protectorates all of a sudden change from loving my nation with a full circle then switching to someone else.

Last night, I had Saxony showing 452 points in my favor while my nearest competitor was showing a negative 323. Then, a Russian army sits there, and a diplomat flies over my country and the very next turn, Saxony, and it's army of some 15 cav divs and 5 inf divs are all Russian. Russia was showing -635.

I've looked for options that will cause a prospective protectorate change like that. But there doesn't seem a fast option for a human player.

I know the Ivans didn't subsidize them, because they only had a few hundred bucks after a war with me.

Please explain...and thanks in advance

Dont you hate coups....... I just had Barvaria go Swede on me, I was +11,987, they were -689.... it had cost me over 25,000 in subsidies and a charm offensive! Grrrrr... I should have sent in the troops years ago! Damn the diplomacy, full steam ahead!

But when I pulled a coup on Saxony in a previous game, her army disappeared. Hell, that was the only reason I didn't take her in battle...cause of the corps, and all that wonderful cav they've got.
