I thought it was the Macon or her sister ship, so I didn't focus on the name...

Ok Brady,
It's the US Navy airship Shenandoah ZR-1 and the airship tender USS Patoka AO-9.

I agree it is the Shenandoah. It's was the only Navy Airship that had that profile.

I really don't think the wording near tail is the word Shenandoah

Well, the syllable "NAN" is quite clear in the middle of the name...

That I do not believe spells Shenandoah.

I had just finished searching for picks of Airships and right out the window a Blimp apeared heading up to Portland, yesterday, prety rare sight, the timing was perfect[:)]
