deep color - 3 pink sots on the buttons

I know this has been explained and fixed before but I cannot find it.

I am running sub chasers 2.1 map in 32 bit colour and I always have three pink dots at the buttons . Has someone an idea how to solve this. I know someone has posted this and provided a file ( new icons ) but heck . where is it hiding ?

The tags have to be just right...here is my shortcut...notice how the 'deepColor' is.

"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific\War In The Pacific.exe" -altFont -deepColor

Your machine may be running at the default 16bit

What does the altFont buy ya? And are the hexes really hard to see on 'Chaser's map for you too?

Clarification:

To use the new, larger font:
1) Create a shortcut from the EXE (right-click on it then drag & drop it).
2) Right-Click on the new shortcut and choose properties.
3) Add space then -altFont to the far right of the “War in the Pacific.exe" on the Target line, such as “C:\Matrix\War in the Pacific.exe -altFont"

Don't forget the other switches. If you want, add another space then tack one of these 6 on
-ww -wd -dw -dd -colorBlind –deepColor (windowed weekly autosave, windowed daily autosave, full screen weekly, full screen daily, use white text for most common text and initialize game in 32 bit color), such as “C:\Games\War in the Pacific.exe -dd -colorBlind".

On Subchaser's map, the hexes are only on the water. I like it.

Yea, Subchaser's is my map of choice also. I also like the lack of hexes on land. If I ever need to see hexes, just F6 and there you go!
