Lancer production problem

In my latest game as Britain in the 1792 Campaign I wanted to build a lancer unit to see how they function. I tried to build it in London which has the requisite barracks. I had all the necessary resources, clicked on Build, saw that Lancers were listed and were highlighted in black so I clicked on Lancer to try and order one to build, but it just dumped out of the build sceen and did not show a lancer in production. I tried it a number of times, but the game would not allow me to build a lancer. Am I doing something wrong?

This is, unfortunately, a known bug which is being looked into by the devs. Although, playing as France, I've never seen it happen.

You might find that if you add one more level of barracks that it will now work, ie level 8 not your present level 7.
