Post by Lee James »

I don't seem to be getting any battle screens in PBEM, de we get to fight any battles by either standard method ?

No, it would take forever to PBEM battles, having to send in each units move/fire orders... impossible...

Ian,

Only against otehr Human players.

And I don't even get a quick battle option, just a boring report to read.

Thats all you get. You do not even get a Quick battle Setup. But I do not think this is bad as the turns would take forever even if you had just to deploy. Your armies will do the fighting for you, you are the king after all.

Do you get to fight on network games or are they similar to PBEM?

Not tried LAN yet, but I believe detailed battles are an option ... sounds good to me!

Me too, I would like to see what a really confident elite unit actually fights like (not that I got one yet, my best unit is regular morale 5)

I have had the odd div of French guard.. .nothing special IMHO.

Every time I have faced Russian Guard I have made them cry and run away ..... now routing the opposition guard is THE quickest way to force the enemy to flee.. I usually split up my cav just as I anticipate the rout beginning to maximise my pursuit!

I would imagine very experienced and confident Heavy Cavalry would be pretty effective.
