I agree with Terminus on this one a memory leak sound like the problem. Try saving the game on turn say 10 or 11. Shut off (not restart) your computer. Then load up the game and play again if it crashes again on about turn 22 or 23 then you have a memory leak and it may help to defrag the hard drive to maximize your virtual RAM.

I have not noticed a slow down. The machine is very fast. I will try a drefrag this weekend. I have never done one.

I defraged my machine first. Then proceeded with the scenario. It CTD on turn 12. I saved the game as directed on turn 10. When I started it up I was able to play till the end turn 27.
