I keep the buffalos acitve for a while so that I can train them up by bombing, and also to keep a few fighters around with long range for those days when the strike really needs to launch.

One thing I have noticed from running the India Burma air show (as I called it in a very recent post to The Imperialism AAR) is that the planes flying very short range don't seem to lose moral.

Personally I start bombing ASAP in Burma. Gotta push that XP level up as fast as possible, especially on the short legged stuff.
